Artist Bio

Aishwarya Madhav is an Indian classical dancer and an Arts educator. She started ​dance lessons when she was seven and gave her first solo performance when she was ​9. She has studied both Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi under renowned Gurus in ​India. She has widely performed across India and the US at prestigious venues like the ​Lincoln Center, Yale University, 92StY, and famed festivals such as Drive East, ​Battery Dance, etc. Aishwarya has also conducted dance workshops for students at ​the American Ballet Theater, 92StY, exposing them to the technique and discipline of ​Indian classical dances. She has served as a teaching artist, introducing her art form ​to New York City public school students. She has also served as an Arts Program ​Manager, combining her experience as a performer and educator to help various NY ​public schools meet their arts education needs.

Training

Trained from the age of seven under Rema Madhu in Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi

Intensive training in Bharatanatyam under N. Srikanth (Chennai) and Shyamala Surendran ​(Cochin) in Kalakshetra technique and Veena Murthy Vijay in Kuchipudi
